Stoning in Iran

I did not know about the stoning before I watched the movie. It certainly makes me sad and angry at the same time. Unfortunately these kind of things happen all the time and everywhere, people are killed for no reason or over something silly. Where I come from I have with my own eyes seen people get brutally beaten to death over a discussion. A friend of mine was murdered when he asked his money back from the guy he sold a CD player. He unbelievably died because of 69 dollars. Back to the point, the Iranian women are a good example of how unfair some people are, The women are treated differently and with no respect at all. the most intriguing part is that people do not seem to stop it. People spend time and money fighting each other, instead of fighting for their rights and to giving people descent lives. Look at these poor lady Soraya has done everything possible to please her family, worked hard, was beaten several times by her husband, and she was stoned for being a good person. Sometimes I feel that all of us do not deserve to be part of these land. People are so cruel, there is not a such violent and cold animal as humans are.
That is just my opinion again.

Marriage in Islam

Islam, unlike other religions is a strong advocate of marriage. There is no place for celibacy like, for example the Roman Catholic priests and nuns. The prophet (pbuh) has said "there is no celibacy in Islam.

Marriage is a religious duty and is consequently a moral safeguard as well as a social necessity. Islam does not equal celibacy with high "taqwa" / "Iman". The prophet has also said, "Marriage is my tradition who so ever keeps away there from is not from amongst me".

Marriage acts as an outlet for sexual needs and regulate it so one does not become a slave to his/ her desires. It is a social necessity because through marriage, families are established and the family is the fundamental unit of our society. Furthermore, marriage is the only legitimate or halal way to indulge in intimacy between a man and a woman.

Islam takes a middle of the road position to sexual relations , it neither condemns it like certain religions, nor does it allow it freely. Islam controls them and regulates their desires, whatever they may be so that they remain dignified.

To make the marriage legit.

1) consent of both parties.

2) " Mahr" a gift from the groom to his bride.

3) Witnesses- 2 male or female.

4) The marriage should be publicized, it should never be kept secret as it leads to suspicion and troubles within the community.

Formentera

Formentera is the smallest and southernmost island of the llles Pitiuses. It is located 6km south of Ibiza in the Mediterranean sea.
The island was reachable by ship only from Ibiza, making it the quieter of the two islands but recently regular lines from the Spanish mainland have increased the amount of tourism. Formentera is known for its many pristine beaches. The island is flat and sandy with magnificent, unspoiled beaches. There are a few places where the land rises and has spectacular cliffs to the sea. It is perfect for cycling, walking, snorkeling, and sailing. Best time to visit the island is from June to August which is the peak season. The Island is full of natural beauty and jaw breaking views, these are only a few shores of it.
